Automatically generate and update Shopify product descriptions with local AI using n8n and Ollama. This workflow reads a Shopify product, generates a German SEO-focused product description with the local llama3.1 model, updates the product in Shopify, and creates a JSON backup containing the previous and new description. Workflow steps: 1. Configure your Shopify shop, product ID, client ID and client secret. 2. Request a temporary Shopify Admin API access token. 3. Retrieve the current Shopify product. 4. Generate a German product description with Ollama. 5. Update the Shopify product description. 6. Save a JSON backup containing the old and new description. Requirements: - Windows - n8n installed locally - Ollama with the llama3.1 model - Shopify store with Admin API access - Shopify app with read_products and write_products scopes - Basic understanding of Shopify app credentials and HTTP requests - Local n8n file access configured for the backup folder Important: This is a workflow template, not a plug-and-play application. You must configure your own Shopify app credentials, shop domain and product ID. The workflow currently starts manually and updates one configured Shopify product per execution. Webhook automation is not included. Always test with a Shopify development store or duplicate product before using it on live products. AI-generated content must be reviewed before publishing. No real credentials are included in the workflow. The workflow was tested successfully with a Shopify development store and local Ollama.
